Star Parker: Omar Not Just Antisemitic, But Also Anti-American

The Republican-controlled House has voted to boot Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., off the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

I salute Republicans for their leadership, which is beneficial to the country and beneficial to Black Americans whose interests Omar pretends they represent.

Omar was seen pushing back on the House floor and playing the race card. She claimed that Republicans were questioning Omar as an American because she’s of a certain race. “certain skin color.”

No. This is not about her skin color, it’s about her character.

Anyone following this story has probably read the long list of antisemitic, antisemitic diatribes Omar wrote since her time as a member of Congress.

However, she is more than antisemitic or anti-Israeli. She is anti American.

Last year, she compared Israel and the U.S. to the Taliban. “We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan and the Taliban,” She observed.

George Gilder, a writer from a number of years back, wrote a book entitled “The Israel Test.”

Gilder summarizes the test by asking a few simple questions. “What is your attitude toward people who excel you in the creation of wealth or in other accomplishment? Do you aspire to their excellence, or do you seethe at it? Do you admire and celebrate exceptional achievement, or do you impugn it and seek to tear it down?”

Gilder’s Israel test is for those who admire success and try to emulate it.

The test measures your attitude towards life and state of mind. Israel is but one example.

It is impossible to see that any country on the planet has ever accomplished and contributed as much as the United States. The level of innovation and creativity in science, technology, entrepreneurship and business is astounding.

Since the award’s inception 122 years ago, 403 Nobel Prizes have been won by Americans. This is 43% of all Nobel winners.

Omar and her lefty pals are more interested in focusing their attention on the good and bad in our country so that they can destroy everything and advance their left-wing agenda.

The miracle story of Israel is beyond words. In just 75 years, Israel has built a modern, flourishing economy, despite having to wage at least three major battles against foes that were far more powerful than them.

This is what Omar and her friends hate. They loathe stories that individuals take ownership of their lives, fight against all odds, and succeed.

Omar’s antisemitism is a reason she should be kicked. She should also be booted for failing Gilder’s Israel Test.

She is passionate about sharing stories about her childhood in Somalia. Somalia boasts a per capita income of $500. Why is she not trying to incite change in her home country, which is currently struggling?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and Omar prefer to make allegations about institutional racism, rather than look at the root causes of poverty and underachievement within our poor communities. It is perpetuated by Omar-AOC’s mindset of looking for blame and looking for people to hate rather than looking at freedom and personal responsibility.

We are in the middle Black History Month.

We must not allow Omar or her lefty gang to take over our great American story.

In his historical speech, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. stated that he believed in the importance of equality. “I Have a Dream” Speech is not the problem, it’s our failure to live up to these great American values.

This country is stronger because of the struggles and successes of Black Americans in achieving full participation in American history and dream.

We are closer. We must ignore the naysayers, and instead move in the direction that is best for our family, friends and freedom.

Omar needs to stop accusing others of denigrating her American citizenship and spend more time learning and adopting the values that are fundamental to our country, which is free and under God’s control.
