‘Squeezing Out Fake Tears’: Candace Owens Mocks BLM’s Patrice Cullors For Feeling Threatened When She Rang The Doorbell

The Daily Wire’s Candace Owens made a Monday evening appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” mocking Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrice Cullors for claiming that she had threatened her safety.

Owens had visited Cullor’s home on May 7 looking to speak with someone about the use of donations given to Black Lives Matter. Cullors responded to Owens with a video claiming that she feared for the safety of herself and her family — but Owens got video as well, and Carlson shared the two clips side by side.

Carlson brought Owens into the conversation then, noting that she was visibly pregnant at the time the video was taken.

“Sorry to laugh, it’s just so ridiculous. Last time we talked you were like seven months pregnant, it’s weird how threatening you can be in that condition,” Carlson prompted.

“I was seven-and-a-half months pregnant, rang the doorbell, had no idea she lived inside or was inside. I spoke to a white security guard for a couple of minutes, he was pretty friendly,” Owens replied.

Last year, it was revealed that Cullors has purchased four houses in California since 2016 for a total of $3.2 million. Cullors said she paid for the homes, including the $1.4 million home in Topanga Canyon Owens visited, with money earned from being a college professor, TV producer, and author of two books. She said she bought them to “take care” of members of her family, and has adamantly denied using BLM proceeds to buy the homes.

More recently, it was revealed that a mansion BLM paid $6 million for in LA’s tony Laurel Canyon, was used by Cullors on special occasions including parties to celebrate President Biden’s inauguration and her son’s birthday. Cullors, who resigned as BLM’s executive director a year ago, was later billed for the use of the home, according to BLM.

Owens said that the guard had not given her any information, so she asked if they would like her to leave the property.

“No sooner did we get in the car than she was squeezing out fake tears pretending that she was under duress, and it’s just so emblematic of exactly what Black Lives Matter is, you know? Emblematic of fake victimhood,” Owens said.
