Sound of Freedom Aims to Bring Awareness to Trafficked Children

The filmmakers behind Sound of Freedom have set an ambitious goal of selling at least 2 million tickets for its theatrical premiere. Their mission is to raise awareness about the staggering number of trafficked children worldwide.”>2 million trafficked children worldwide.

This highly anticipated film, scheduled to hit theaters on July 4, tells the gripping true story of a federal agent who makes the courageous decision to leave his job and risk his life. His mission takes him deep into the treacherous jungles of Colombia, where he embarks on a dangerous journey to rescue a young girl from the clutches of sex slavery. This girl happens to be the sister of a 7-year-old boy who was recently saved.

Angel Studios Aims to Make a Difference

Angel Studios, the distributor of Sound of Freedom, is determined to bring greater awareness to this global crisis. CEO and co-founder Neal Harmon expressed their urgency, stating, “We want to answer the prayers of children as soon as possible.” Harmon believes that making Sound of Freedom the number one movie in the world on July 4 will send an undeniable message that the world cannot ignore. He emphasizes that this is what the children in need truly deserve.

Renowned actor Jim Caviezel, famous for his portrayal of Jesus in The Passion of the Christ, takes on the lead role of federal agent Tim Ballard in Sound of Freedom. In the film’s trailer, Caviezel’s character passionately declares, “God’s children are not for sale.”

The cast also includes Academy Award-winner Mira Sorvino from Mighty Aphrodite and Bill Camp from 12 Years a Slave. Alejandro Monteverde directs the film, with Eduardo Verastegui serving as the producer.
