International Release of “Sound of Freedom” Expands as Film Approaches $200 Million Milestone
Exciting news for fans of the powerful film “Sound of Freedom”! Angel Studios has announced that the movie, led by the talented Jim Caviezel, will be expanding its international release as it nears the impressive 0 million mark worldwide.
The film, which sheds light on the horrors of human trafficking, will now be screened in over 50 countries, in addition to its previously announced releases in South Africa, Australia/New Zealand, the U.K., and the United States.
“We are thrilled to roll out another list of countries where ‘SOUND OF FREEDOM’ is doing a theatrical run, this list spans several continents including Europe, South America, Africa, and Asia, and there is even more to come,” shared Jared Geesey, senior vice president of Global Distribution for Angel Studios.

“We’re seeing surging demand for this film around the globe, and we will continue to make additional announcements in the coming days and weeks,” Geesey added.
The film has been hailed as the sleeper hit of the summer, remaining in 2,100 theaters six weeks after its release on July 4. As of August 30, it has earned an impressive $181,084,909, according to Box Office Mojo. Additionally, it now ranks in the Top 10 Box Office Cume for the year.
“Sound of Freedom” comes from the same studio behind the popular faith-based television series “The Chosen.”
In this gripping true story, Caviezel portrays Tim Ballard, a federal agent who courageously leaves his job to embark on a dangerous mission to rescue a young girl from sex slavery in South America.

In July, the studio announced that the film would have a global release, appearing in theaters across Latin American countries, the U.K., and Ireland between August and October.
“Since ‘SOUND OF FREEDOM’ launched in the US, demand has been building around the world in dozens of regions and languages,” Geesey stated. “Child trafficking is a global issue, and we hope to build on the incredible momentum here in the states and share the film’s powerful message worldwide.”
