Soros Blew $2.5M on Stacey Abrams, $1M on Beto

Soros Blew .5M on Stacey Abrams, M on Beto

Congratulations to Stacey Abrams on her second term in office as president of space after her latest effort to claim victory in Georgia fell apart.

For Democrats this ought to count as a win because the midterms have likely freed them from the giant money sponges of Beto O’Rourke and Stacey Abrams in one fell swoop.

And both grifters seemed to have a limitless ability to promote themselves and burn money. Including from Evil Inc’s very own ATM.

Soros’ Democracy PAC II sent $1 million to the committee on March 11 and another $1.5 million on June 23 for a total of $2.5 million, according to the report. Karla Jurvetson, a longtime-progressive activist and donor, similarly donated a total of $2.5 million. Donald Sussman, a billionaire hedge fund manager, gave $1 million to the committee.

They say Soros is a smart investor, but maybe not so smart. This isn’t the first time he wasted a ton of money on a bad candidate. Karla Jurvetson is playing with her ex-husband’s money which she’s rapidly burning through as she buys influence.

But Soros also pumped $1M into Beto O’Rourke’s campaign.

American businessman George Soros has donated $1 million to Texas gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke’s (D) campaign.

But that’s probably the tip of the iceberg. Soros Inc. seemed to be entangled with Stacey Inc.

Fair Fight Action’s new executive director Cianti Stewart-Reid declined to disclose the group’s donors. But POLITICO was able to identify donations from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations and the Sixteen Thirty Fund, both large and well-funded liberal organizations, based on interviews and a review of other 990 forms.

Open Society’s co-director for U.S. grants, Laleh Ispahani, said she was impressed with how “cutting-edge” Fair Fight Action was. “I was always informed about the work and I think most of their donors probably would say the same thing,” Ispahani said.

Soros may have lost money on Stacey, but somehow I suspect Stacey did well out of the deal.
