Soros-Backed Prosecutor In Florida: Ron DeSantis Is Building A Case To Remove Me From Office

Florida State Attorney Backed by Soros Faces Removal from Office

Monique H. Worrell, the state attorney for Florida’s 9th Judicial Circuit, who is backed by Democrat megadonor George Soros, is facing removal from office by Governor Ron DeSantis. This comes after DeSantis criticized Worrell for failing to keep Keith Moses, a repeat offender, off the streets. Moses is accused of shooting five people, including a 9-year-old girl, a reporter, and a 38-year-old woman.

DeSantis Takes Action Against Soros-Backed Prosecutors

DeSantis is known for taking action against Soros-backed prosecutors. In fact, he is the only governor in the U.S. who has ever removed a Soros-backed prosecutor from power. Earlier this month, he sent the police to remove State Attorney Andrew Warren of the 13th Judicial Circuit from office for failing to enforce laws.

DeSantis Holds Elected Officials Accountable

DeSantis believes that state attorneys have a duty to prosecute crimes as defined in Florida law, not to pick and choose which laws to enforce based on personal agendas. He holds Florida’s elected officials to the highest standards for the people of Florida.

Hold People Accountable

DeSantis believes that holding people accountable is crucial to creating better communities. When repeat offenders are cycled out into the community, the chances of something bad happening increase.

Worrell’s Record

While most of Moses’ arrests happened before Worrell was sworn into office, one arrest did happen under her watch. Moses was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession, but ultimately was not prosecuted due to the small amount found. However, a gun was found.

It remains to be seen whether Worrell will be removed from office, but DeSantis has made it clear that he will not tolerate elected officials who fail to uphold the rule of law.
