According to WISH-TV, Lane stated, “The girls were threatening, saying, ‘Hey, why don’t you meet me in the parking lot?’ Some parents were also hollering during the game, encouraging violence. It was a disturbing scene that I never expected to witness. It’s just a game.”
DSB Heat coach Bobby Ewing described the chaos that unfolded during the incident. He said, “I see them running after her, and she’s backpedaling, and it’s just chaos. I’m talking just chaos.” Ewing also mentioned that a person in a black hoodie punched the official directly in the face.
