Reports say a Sex Offender Dressed as a Woman Was Arrested for allegedly snapping pictures of women in the bathroom, pointing pepper ball gun

Texas man arrested after he took photos of women under a stall in a mall restroom while pretending to be a woman. He also allegedly brandished a pepper gun when confronted.

Douglas Egan, 45, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and improper photography.

A woman claimed that she saw a cellphone under the stall at Hulen Mall in Fort Worth on Christmas Eve, around 4:30 p.m. according Police.

The woman escaped from the stall, confronted and resisted the suspect. “a male that was dressed to look like a female,” who attempted to flee, police said.

A male tried to intervene and prevent the suspect from fleeing the scene. According to police, the suspect pulled out a gun from his backpack and pointed it at him. The weapon was later found to be a pepperball gun by police.

Some witnesses said they saw the suspect change out of the women’s clothes he was wearing and into men’s clothes after he left the mall.

“The suspect then left the mall, but was being observed by several witnesses,” According to officers. “These witnesses saw the suspect changing his clothes and also observed what appeared to be a handgun in the back waistband of the suspect’s pants.”

Egan was taken into police custody at an apartment complex nearby.

He is currently being held on a combined $30,000 bond at the Lon Evans Corrections Center. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 3.
