Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has said all Republican lawmakers will vote against the Democrats’ $3.5 trillion budget bill. The Senate GOP leader told reporters on Thursday that Democrats do not have a mandate to impose socialism in the U.S.

McConnell added the Democrat plan is a “wild spending taxing spree,” which would push inflation even higher. The senator went on to say he hopes some Democrats will stand up and vote against the bill as well.

“There won’t be any Republican support for this and hopefully some brave Democrats will stand up and say ‘I’m not going to do this’ for the country,” said McConnell.

He also warned if the vote falls along party lines and Kamala Harris breaks the tie, then every Democrat would have to own the disastrous outcome.
