Update on James Comer’s Biden Crime Family Probe: Selling Access to Enemies for Years
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is on a mission to uncover every detail of the Biden family’s activities. His relentless pursuit of the truth has earned him praise from conservative allies, who believe that Congress still has work to do.
During a conversation with Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) on his podcast “The Verdict,” Comer shared his committee’s next steps and provided some intriguing insights. According to the New York Post, Comer revealed, “We have more bank records that we’ve received. We’re working on a third memorandum that will show transactions from Ukraine and Russia.”
Comer has consistently emphasized that his committee’s focus is on the president, rather than delving into the personal problems of his sons or other family members.
Highlighting this point, Comer stated, “Joe Biden has been selling access to our enemies for decades — long before [first son Hunter Biden] was involved.”
The Kentucky Republican also suggested that family bribes could explain some of President Biden’s questionable decisions. He added, “I think there are certain policy decisions that Joe Biden has made since he’s been president that the only explanation can be because of the money his family received.”
Just two days prior, the House Oversight Committee heard shocking testimony about the IRS investigation into Hunter Biden. Mike Howell, the Director of The Heritage Foundation’s “Oversight Project,” commended Chairman Comer for his thorough investigation and the evidence he presented. However, Howell emphasized that the goal should be to bring about real change, not just expose wrongdoing.
Howell stated, “The goal here is the de-weaponization of government, not just exposure, and Congress’ efforts will be judged by that standard.” He also remarked that the activities involving the President of the United States and a multimillion dollar international pay-to-play scheme are typically associated with third world countries.
The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project aims to increase government transparency and enable Congress to exercise its oversight authorities effectively. Their work includes challenging Hunter Biden’s plea deal and uncovering the circumstances surrounding it.
Complimenting the IRS Whistleblowers, Gary Shapley and Joe Zeigler, for testifying before Comer, Howell expressed gratitude for their courage in confirming political interference in the Hunter Biden investigation.
Regarding who else might have been aware of Biden’s potential impropriety, Comer speculated to Cruz that even former President Barack Obama may have known about the alleged scheme run by the Biden family. He suggested that this could be the reason why Obama discouraged Biden from running for president.
