Trump accuses Biden of hypocrisy for not being charged in the classified documents case.
Former President Trump Slams DOJ for Not Charging Biden in Classified Documents Case
Former President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on the Department of Justice (DOJ) after its special prosecutor concluded that President Joe Biden did not commit any criminal offenses in relation to the possession of classified documents.
Trump himself is currently facing allegations of mishandling classified documents following a federal raid on his Mar-a-Lago estate in August 2022.
However, it has since emerged that classified documents were also found at a former office suite used by Biden and at his Delaware home. As a result, the DOJ appointed a special prosecutor to investigate the case.
This week, CNN reported that special counsel Robert Hur may reprimand Biden and his staff for their handling of the documents, but no charges will be filed.
Trump took to his Truth Social platform to express his outrage, posting, “WOW! FAKE NEWS CNN, THROUGH A LEAK FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF INJUSTICE, HAS JUST REPORTED THAT NO CHARGES WILL BE FILED IN THE (MUCH BIGGER THAN MINE!!!) CROOKED JOE BIDEN DOCUMENTS CASE. WE ARE LIVING IN A VERY CORRUPT COUNTRY!”
He further criticized the DOJ, accusing them of “PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT!” and declaring “SELECTIVE PROSECUTION!!!”
Trump was not alone in his objections to the outcome of the Biden probe. Various individuals, including Fox News host Sean Hannity and Senator Marsha Blackburn, voiced their discontent on social media.
BREAKING: Special Counsel Robert Hur, who has been “investigating” Biden in the mishandling of classified documents, is NOT expected to bring charges.
Did you really think it was going to go any other way?
We fix this or we perish.

Please explain…
How can the DOJ charge Trump for having classified documents, when as former POTUS, he had the authority to have them & could declassify at any time in his term
But no charges for Biden & he did not have the authority to have the docs
Make it make sense?!? https://t.co/wWz6QUjbAh

Fox News host Sean Hannity remarked that the outcome was ”not a surprise,” claiming that the DOJ has become “politicized and weaponized.”
Meanwhile, Jordan Boyd wrote on The Federalist that the DOJ’s differential treatment of Biden and Trump only reinforces the belief held by the majority of Americans that there is a two-tiered system of justice in the country.

The post ‘Selective Prosecution!’: Trump Calls Out Hypocrisy of Biden Not Being Charged in Classified Documents Case appeared first on The Western Journal.
What steps can be taken to address accusations of selective prosecution and the politicization of the Department of Justice in order to restore public trust in our institutions and ensure a justice system that operates on principles of fairness and equality
R justice system, one for the powerful elite and another for the ordinary citizens.
It is important to note that the mishandling of classified documents is a serious offense that can have significant national security implications. Therefore, the investigation into Biden’s involvement in the possession of classified documents should have been approached with utmost seriousness and impartiality.
The fact that no charges will be filed against Biden raises questions about the integrity and fairness of the DOJ’s investigation. Trump and his supporters argue that there was a clear disparity in the treatment of his case compared to Biden’s. As the former president, Trump had the authority to possess and declassify classified documents, whereas Biden did not. Yet, Trump is facing allegations and potential charges, while Biden is allowed to walk away without facing any consequences.
This has led to accusations of selective prosecution and the politicization of the DOJ. Trump’s claims of ”prosecutorial misconduct” and “selective prosecution” may resonate with many Americans who feel that the justice system is biased and serves the interests of the political establishment.
Furthermore, the response on social media from voices like Sean Hannity and Senator Marsha Blackburn indicates that there is a significant amount of discontent and skepticism surrounding the outcome of the Biden probe. Indeed, many are questioning the credibility of the DOJ and its ability to carry out fair and impartial investigations.
The handling of classified documents should not be taken lightly, regardless of the individuals involved. The American people deserve a justice system that is free from bias and operates on the principles of fairness and equality. The DOJ’s decision not to charge Biden in this case only further erodes public trust in the integrity of our institutions.
If we are to truly have a just and democratic society, it is crucial that investigations and prosecutions be carried out transparently and without favoritism. The American people must have confidence that our justice system is working in their best interest, upholding the rule of law, and holding all individuals accountable, regardless of their political affiliations or positions of power.
Until there is greater transparency and consistency in the handling of cases involving classified documents, doubts will persist, and the faith of the American people in our justice system will continue to be undermined. It is imperative that we address these concerns and work towards restoring integrity and public trust in our institutions. Only then can we truly claim to be a nation governed by the principles of justice and equality that are the cornerstone of any democracy.
