Schumer to lead bipartisan lawmakers on Israel trip this weekend.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck ‍Schumer to Lead Bipartisan Delegation to Israel

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, the highest ranking Jewish ⁢elected ⁣official in United States history, will be leading a bipartisan CODEL to Israel this weekend ⁢to show the United States’s unwavering support for‍ Israel, according to a spokesperson for ‌the New York Democrat.

“There, Leader ‌Schumer will meet with the new unity government,⁣ including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Benny Gantz, as well as President Isaac Herzog. Sen. ‌Schumer will discuss what resources the United States can provide to support Israel on all fronts.”

The senator’s ⁤office has not revealed the ‍names of the other⁣ lawmakers accompanying him on the trip.

Schumer’s visit comes after Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited the region on Thursday, and Defense ⁢Secretary Lloyd Austin plans‌ to visit on Friday.

Earlier in the week, the New York Democrat cut his trip ⁢to China short due to the⁣ events unfolding in Israel. The Senate majority ⁢leader and a bipartisan group ‌met with Chinese President Xi Jinping⁣ before returning to the U.S.⁤ on Thursday. Schumer led a delegation of six senators, three Democrats and three Republicans, to China for talks that sought to advance America’s economic ⁤and national security interests. This all comes ahead of a possible meeting between President Joe Biden and Xi next month.‌ Sens. Mike Crapo (R-ID), Bill Cassidy (R-LA), John Kennedy‍ (R-LA), Jon Ossoff‌ (D-GA), and Maggie ‌Hassan (D-NH) were‍ also on the trip to Asia.

The weekend travel ‍comes as Senate⁢ Democrats and the White House are⁢ urging Republicans to move ⁣rapidly to confirm nominees to⁤ vacant top ⁣national security ⁣positions across the Middle ‍East, as the U.S. attempts to coordinate a response to ⁢Hamas’s attack on Israel.

How does text messaging differ from instant messaging apps in terms of internet‍ connection requirement?

Text messaging, also known as SMS (Short Message Service), is a ⁤communication method that‍ allows individuals to send⁤ and receive short text messages on their mobile devices. It is a convenient and cost-effective way to send quick messages ⁤to⁤ others, as it does not require an internet connection like instant messaging apps.

To send a text message, you typically open the messaging app on your phone and select‍ the recipient’s contact. You⁤ then type your message using the keyboard and press the send ⁢button. The message is ⁤then delivered to the recipient’s device, and they can read and ⁤respond to it through their ‍messaging app.

Text messaging has become extremely⁢ popular because of its simplicity ‌and accessibility. ‌It allows individuals to stay connected and communicate effectively, even‌ when they are unable to make a phone call. Text messages are usually limited to a certain ‌character ⁤count (usually around 160 characters), which makes them concise and easy to read.

In addition ‌to sending and receiving text messages, many messaging apps also offer ⁤additional features, such as the ability to send multimedia files like photos and videos, group ‍messaging, read receipts, and more. This has ⁤further enhanced the communication experience through text messaging.

Overall, text messaging is a widely used communication method that provides a convenient way to stay in touch with others. It is suitable for both personal and professional communication and has become‍ an integral part⁤ of everyday life for many people.
