Rep. Adam Schiff Slams Durham Investigation as a Political Witch Hunt

During an appearance on MSNBC, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) didn’t hold back in his criticism of the recently concluded Durham investigation. He called it “flawed from the start” and claimed that it was initiated solely on the political whim of former President Donald Trump. Schiff went on to say that the investigation had not resulted in any indictments or convictions, which he believed was proof that it had been a waste of time.

The Flawed Durham Investigation

Schiff stated that the Durham investigation was flawed from the beginning, as it was initiated due to Trump’s insistence that he was the target of a political “witch hunt.” Schiff argued that the FBI had a good reason to investigate Trump, while Durham did not have a good reason to investigate the FBI. Despite Durham’s findings indicating departures from proper procedure on behalf of the FBI, Schiff insisted that the Mueller investigation had been rooted in a real crime and was therefore begun with just cause.

According to Schiff, the Durham investigation was conducted in a flawed manner and resulted in two spectacular failures at trial, ultimately ending with nothing to show for four years of effort.
