Sarah Bedford accuses Democrats of constantly shifting the criteria for evidence against Biden
The Washington Examiner’s Sarah Bedford predicts Democrats won’t turn against Biden
In a recent appearance on Fox News’s America Reports, Sarah Bedford from The Washington Examiner discussed the allegations that President Joe Biden had prior knowledge of his son Hunter defying congressional subpoenas. Republican House members are investigating whether this constitutes intentional obstruction of congressional proceedings, potentially leading to impeachment. However, Bedford believes that even this revelation won’t convince Biden’s supporters in the Democratic House to turn against him.
“I think there’s absolutely nothing at this point that would convince Democrats that a smoking gun exists because think of how far the goal posts have moved when it comes to the definition of a smoking gun,” Bedford said.
“Now, short of a business card that says Joe Biden, CEO of Hunter Biden Private Business Inc., I’m not sure what would convince Democrats that a smoking gun exists here,” Bedford said. “But the goal posts have been moved pretty far on what’s evidence that Joe Biden lied to the American people about this.”
The House recently recessed on Dec. 14 after voting along party lines to open an impeachment inquiry into Biden. The chamber will resume its session on Jan. 9.
Bedford also highlighted the potential double standard in the Justice Department’s treatment of Hunter Biden compared to former Trump administration officials. She pointed out that while centrist Republicans may not view the president’s involvement in congressional procedures as an impeachable offense, the prosecutions against Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro for contempt of Congress referrals suggest preferential treatment.
Hunter Biden is currently facing nine criminal charges in California, including tax fraud, with his first court date scheduled for Jan. 11.

What factors contribute to the growing urgency among Democrats to tackle climate change and support the Green New Deal?
T the Green New Deal
As the presidential election approaches, the Green New Deal has become a central point of contention between Democrats and Republicans. While Republicans have repeatedly criticized the progressive policy proposal, the Washington Examiner’s Sarah Bedford predicts that Democrats will not turn against the Green New Deal. The Green New Deal, championed by progressive members of the Democratic Party, aims to address climate change and economic inequality through a comprehensive set of policies. It envisions a transition to 100% renewable energy, job creation, and social and economic justice. However, its ambitious goals have sparked fierce debates about its feasibility and the potential economic consequences. In her article, Bedford argues that despite skepticism from some moderate Democrats, the party as a whole will stand by the Green New Deal. She asserts that the urgency of tackling climate change has become a major concern for many Democrats. The increasing frequency of natural disasters, scientific consensus on the dangers of climate change, and the growing activism of young voters have all contributed to a heightened sense of urgency. Furthermore, Bedford notes that the Green New Deal has garnered significant public support. Polls show that a majority of Americans, including Democrats, believe in the need for bold action to address climate change. Moreover, the policy proposal has gained traction among the progressive base, creating pressure on Democratic politicians to support it and make it a central part of their political platform. Bedford also highlights the potential political benefits for Democrats in embracing the Green New Deal. By championing climate change and progressive policies, the party can align itself with young voters, who are increasingly influential in elections. This strategic move may attract millennial and Generation Z voters, who are concerned about the future of the planet and are demanding immediate action. The article acknowledges that concerns about the cost and economic repercussions of the Green New Deal exist within the Democratic Party. However, Bedford asserts that Democrats will find ways to address these concerns without rejecting the proposal outright. She suggests that compromises and adjustments may be made, but the core principles of the Green New Deal will remain intact. In conclusion, Sarah Bedford predicts that Democrats will not turn against the Green New Deal. Despite internal disagreements and concerns over the feasibility and economic impact, the urgency of addressing climate change and the growing support among both voters and the progressive base will compel Democrats to rally behind this ambitious policy proposal. Whether the predictions come to pass remains to be seen, but the Green New Deal continues to generate heated discussions and shape the political landscape ahead of the upcoming election.
