This Constitution limits the government’s powers to specific areas and establishes a bicameral legislature. The Senate represents the nation’s industrialists and property owners, while the House of Representatives represents the people. This balance of power is crucial for a lasting democracy.
Furthermore, the Tenth Amendment emphasizes the importance of states’ sovereignty. The states were granted significant autonomy, which was essential for their ratification of the Constitution.
However, San Francisco seems to have forgotten these principles. The city lacks a bicameral legislature and is dominated by a single political party. By neglecting the invested individuals and disregarding existing laws, San Francisco has become a failing city.
The U.S. Constitution, with its checks and balances, was designed to prevent such failures. It was crafted by brilliant minds who drew inspiration from ancient civilizations and the Age of Enlightenment. In just one page, they created a document that has stood the test of time.
So why do progressives believe in rewriting these nearly perfect documents? Their misguided actions are detrimental to the nation and cities like San Francisco.
Under progressivism, the government takes control instead of relying on citizens to do the right thing. It imposes high taxes, such as the 15% income tax for Social Security, and regulates the health insurance market to the point where it no longer functions properly.
But the United States was not meant to be a provider of services. It was designed to protect and preserve individual freedom in social, political, and economic aspects.
The solution to America’s problems is clear: reverse the progressive policies that have accumulated over the years. Return to the principles of limited government that our Founding Fathers envisioned.
We are a Jeffersonian democracy, capable of making this change. As Thomas Jefferson once said, if you fear living in a country with a small government and individual liberty, then you fear democracy itself. Progressives should consider leaving if they cannot embrace these principles.
It’s time to prioritize the middle class, who bear the burden of excessive taxes. As the national debt continues to rise, we must lower taxes and government spending to avoid the collapse that history has shown us.
Politicians should focus on their accomplishments, like Governor Ron DeSantis, who tied Florida’s economy to the free market, implemented low taxes, and made sensible decisions during the COVID-19 pandemic. These principles of individual liberty and responsibility are why Americans are flocking to Florida.
Progressivism would be meaningful if it encouraged self-sufficiency among citizens, including the homeless. If individuals cannot take care of themselves, they should be provided with assistance in assisted living environments or mental hospitals, or relocated to the outskirts of town.
Let’s return to the limited government that our Founding Fathers intended. It’s time to prioritize freedom and individual responsibility over excessive government control.

In order to revive the city and restore its reputation, it is imperative that San Francisco returns to the principles and values outlined in the U.S. Constitution. This means implementing common-sense policies that prioritize individual liberty, limited government, and the rule of law.
