Sam Bankman Fried Meets with Biden Officials At Least Four Times this Year

Sam Bankman-Fried, a disgraced crypto billionaire who is also a top Democrat donor, met at least four times with Biden officials, including a meeting in September 2022 with White House advisor Steve Ricchetti.

The CEO of the bankrupt FTX cryptocurrency exchange, announced earlier this year that he would donate “north of $100 million” And up to a “soft ceiling” $1 billion to the Democrat candidate for President Donald Trump’s 2024 election.

Bankman-Fried donated over $40 million to Democrats during the 2022 midterm election. FTX was laundering money from Ukraine for Democrats in the 2022 Midterms.

Elon Musk stated that the 40 million dollars in donations to Democrats were not close to the true figure, suggesting that it was probably closer to $1 Billion.

Four Biden officials met with Sam Bankman Fried, a disgraced cryptocurrency mogul, this year just before the collapse and arrest of his FTX empire.

According to Bloomberg, the Democratic donor, aged 30, is currently being tried for one of the largest financial frauds in American history.

He had at least two more meetings with Ricchetti, on April 22 and 12, and one with Bruce Reed, his top aide.

Bankman-Fried’s brother Gabriel also participated in a meeting on his own on May 13.

The latest report confirms the deep ties Bankman Fried has had with Washington since before he was accused of defrauding investors.

This news about Bankman-fried meeting with Biden officials comes after several Democrats refused to give the money back to FTX, and instead chose to donate to charity.

“The bankruptcy trustee could still ask that donations made by FTX donors be returned if courts determine Bankman-Fried and other FTX executives committed fraud,” Bloomberg reported.

Attorney Ilan Nieuchowicz stated that Demcorats’ return of funds would depend on the fraudulent intent surrounding the company.

Brett Kappel stated to the Associated Press that it would be “prudent” Democrats can keep the money, or earmark it. “given the high likelihood the bankruptcy receiver will be seeking their return.”
