An attempt by Texas Democrats to virtue signal has backfired as their D.C. escapade recently reached new heights. Speaking from his hotel room at the nation’s capital on Wednesday, Democrat Rep. Ron Reynolds (Texas) said Gov. Greg Abbott’s (R-Texas) so-called extreme measures have turned him into a fugitive.

Reynolds then doubled down on his effort to keep stirring up what he described as “good trouble.” Despite delaying the passage of COVID relief measures by camping out in his D.C. hotel room, Reynolds wrapped up the rocky interview by fearmongering about COVID-19.

Meanwhile, state Rep. Jim Murphy (R) said if a couple Democrats show up to the special session, residents could get resources for COVID-19 vaccinations and hospitals could receive more funding to help patients “almost immediately.” Although, it appears that the Democrats have different priorities.
