Romania Authorities Seize Millions In Assets Belonging To Andrew Tate In Trafficking Investigation: Report

According to reports, Romanian law enforcement officers have confiscated millions of dollars of assets from a Bucharest compound belonging a former kickboxer and social media influencer Andrew Tate as part of their investigation into sex trafficking.

Romania’s National Agency for the Administration of Seized Assets said it seized more than a dozen high-end vehicles, including a Rolls-Royce, a Ferrari, a Porsche, a BMW, an Aston Martin, a Lamborghini, and a Mercedes-Benz.

Additionally, the officials confiscated over a dozen luxury watches along with other assets that were valued at $4 million USD.

Tate was arrested along with Tristan Tate, Tate’s brother, and two other people in an investigation into organized criminality, human trafficking and rape.

“The four suspects … appear to have created an organized crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialized websites for a cost,” prosecutors said. “They would have gained important sums of money.”

Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) alleges that the four suspects operated the criminal enterprise throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Authorities claim that the suspects tricked victims into believing they were being tricked. “believing that they intended to enter into a marriage/cohabitation relationship” Eventually, they were subjected to “physical violence and mental coercion’ and were ‘sexually exploited by group members by forcing them to perform pornographic demonstrations […] for the purpose of producing and disseminating through social media platforms,” Daily Mail reported.

Although the events are not related, Tate was taken into custody shortly after engaging in a Twitter dispute with Greta Thunberg (far-left climate activist).

Thunberg received a tweet from Tate last month regarding his extensive car collection.

“Hello @GretaThunberg,” Tate stated. “I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s. This is just the start. Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions.”
