Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Claims CIA Involved in JFK Assassination

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy and a Democratic presidential hopeful, made a bold statement on Monday, suggesting that the CIA played a role in his uncle’s assassination. Despite the agency’s repeated denial of any involvement, Kennedy Jr. claimed there was “overwhelming evidence” to support his theory.

The Evidence

Kennedy Jr. cited millions of pages of CIA documents, transcripts, and recorded conversations with the Cuban Embassy and Mexico City as evidence. He also mentioned confessions from people directly involved in the plot, those who were peripheral to the plot, and a 60-year cover-up.

While the government’s conclusion stated that convicted shooter Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the 1963 murder, Kennedy Jr. pointed out that a 1979 House committee found it probable that there were at least two people who shot at the president and that it was likely part of a conspiracy.

Reflections on JFK’s Death

Kennedy Jr. reflected on the day of his uncle’s death and claimed that the first thing his father did when he heard the news was call the CIA to find out if they were responsible. “It was my father’s first instinct to ask if the CIA had killed his brother,” he said.

Running for President

Kennedy Jr. is attempting to follow in his uncle’s footsteps and announced his bid for the presidency last month. He is one of three declared Democratic hopefuls, including President Joe Biden and author and activist Marianne Williamson.

Conclusion

While the CIA has denied any involvement in JFK’s assassination, Kennedy Jr. remains convinced that there is overwhelming evidence to suggest otherwise. As the presidential race heats up, it will be interesting to see how this theory plays out and whether it will impact Kennedy Jr.’s campaign.
