Revealed! Department of Education asked NSBA to write THAT LETTER comparing parents to domestic terrorists

It now appears that a dramatic and spontaneous-seeming letter, in which the National School Boards Association (NSBA) cries for help to the White House against angry and dangerous parents at school board meetings, was in fact generated by the White House itself.

It was Education Secretary Miguel Cardona who apparently had the idea of making school officials “write to the White House” for help and set up the parents as a potential “domestic terrorism” threat, according to emails released on Jan 11 and obtained by FOX News.

An internal NSBA memo dated Oct. 12 indicates that the group had discussions – that is, they colluded – with White House officials before sending the inflammatory letter to President Joe Biden. Attorney General Merrick Garland then picked up the ball, treating the letter as an excuse to form a task force to “protect” members of school boards from a dangerous American public.

Parents Defending Education made the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request that turned up the communication implicating Cardona himself as helping initiate the official charade.

In an Oct. 5 email, NSBA Secretary-Treasurer Kristi Swett wrote that the group’s interim chief executive, Chip Slaven, “told the officers he was writing a letter to provide information to the White House, from a request by Secretary Cardona.”

The phony narrative began in September, after weeks of angry school board meetings over school curricula, gendered bathrooms and mask mandates repeatedly made news.

The Education Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

On Oct. 4, Garland announced he was directing the FBI and US Attorneys’ Offices to meet with federal, state, tribal and local law enforcement to address the “threats.”
