New York City sent the fingerprints unvaccinated public school teachers directly to the FBI, as the educators claim in a lawsuit against New York City.

The city also fired the teachers for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine. “problem code” This can impact their ability to find another job. Fox News reported.

“Fingerprints are sent with that flag to the FBI and the New York Criminal Justice Services, so it impacts their ongoing ability to get employment at other places,” John Bursch was a lawyer for the teachers who brought suit against the municipality.

Employees filed suit after New York City mayor Eric Adams (D.) announced on Feb. 6 that he is lifting the city’s COVID mandate. According to the New York City Department of Education, Department of Health and FDNY, 1,780 New York City employees lost their jobs because they refused the vaccine. New York Post

One teacher, who had been working in New York’s public schools for 15-years, was denied a religious exemption by the city. “Religiously, mentally, I just didn’t want anything experimental on my body, so what criminal activity does that persist?” She asked. “This is an invasion of privacy.”

City workers who refuse the vaccine are still eligible to apply for work, but without any guarantee of their salaries or benefits.

James Mermigis, Attorney joined the legal fight against future mandates. Mermigis argued such policies are unconstitutional.

“So many employees were wrongfully terminated. [Mayor] Adams and his cronies blatantly violated New York City Human Rights Laws during the accommodation process,” Mermigis. “They cannot be let off the hook because he rescinds the mandate.”
