Report: Hillary Clinton Nonprofit Gave $75,000 to Defund the Police Group

Onward Together, a nonprofit group started by Hillary Clinton after she lost the 2016 presidential election, funneled $75,000 to a far-left group whose affiliate worked on a failed attempt to dismantle and replace the Minneapolis Police Department, Fox News first reported.

Clinton’s Onward Together gave money to Washington, D.C.-based Alliance for Youth Justice between April 1, 2021, and March 31, 2021, according to the group’s latest tax forms, the report noted.

With tanking approval numbers, “Dark Brandon” has endeavored to be at the forefront of a narrative shift pinning the Democrat-touted “defund the police” movement as a stance of “back the blue” conservatives. Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton has been one of a number of party leaders attempting to guide this change, but receipts show her own organization doesn’t practice what she preaches.
Following her loss in the 2016 presidential election to then-candidate Donald Trump, Clinton dusted off her pantsuit and refocused her behind-the-scenes string-pulling with the 2017 launch of the nonprofit organization Onward Together. With a statement of dedication “to advancing the vision that earned” her “nearly 66 million votes” the organization, peppered with connections to dark money network Arabella Advisors, makes no secret about its connection to radical groups.

Less obvious are the ways in which the nonprofit supported those groups, but Fox News Digital reviewed tax documents and annual reports from Onward Together and found that during a window between April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021, alone, $75,000 was granted to Alliance for Youth Action that was active in efforts to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department following the death of George Floyd while in police custody.
In their own words, Alliance for Youth Action states the policing system “was founded on slave patrols and continues to target and murder Black people.”

“Centering Black people in our work means it is time to divest from police, and invest in Black futures,” the group continues. “Defunding the police as part of the path towards abolition is one of the many steps that must be taken to ensure that Black people are able to thrive.”

“As a network, we commit to ongoing learning about abolition, dismantling of white supremacy, and decentering of whiteness in our work,” they specify. “For individual organizations, this work includes providing extensive training on anti-racism for staff, focusing on issues that disproportionately impact people of color, incorporating racial justice and intersectional language in messaging, and integrating anti-racism into every aspect of the work including strategic plans.”

Fox News went on to explain that Alliance for Youth Action was directly affiliated with Minnesota Youth Collective which had joined the Yes 4 Minneapolis coalition working to put an end to the Minneapolis Police Department.

Meanwhile, as support for Onward Together has petered down from an initial $3.1 million in donations in 2017 to only $1.6 million in 2020, Clinton has shifted her public tone in line with the Democratic agenda to peg conservatives as a “threat to democracy.”

Earlier this year she professed, “You need accountable measures. But you also need policing. It doesn’t even pass the common-sense politics test not to believe that. Some positions are so extreme on both the right and the left that they retreat to their corners…Politics should be the art of addition not subtraction.”
