Rep. David Trone Launches Senate Bid to Tackle Critical Issues

Trone drew attention to the alarming number of drug overdose deaths in America, with 10 people losing their lives every hour. He emphasized that 100,000 preventable deaths occurred in 2021, and another 100,000 are expected in 2022 if no action is taken.

He founded Total Wine & More, a successful wine business that has made him a millionaire. Trone has been in Congress since 2019 and believes that there is more work to be done. He joins a Democratic field that includes Will Jawando, at-large Montgomery County council member, and socialist Jerome Segal. Other potential candidates include Reps. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) and Kweisi Mfume (D-Md.); former

Join Trone in his mission to tackle these critical issues and make a difference in the lives of millions of Americans.
