Rep. Chip Roy Endorses Ron DeSantis for President: ‘Time for a New Generation of Leadership’
Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, has given Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis gave his endorsement for the presidency 2024, which was one of the initial salvos in a battle for the GOP nomination.
Roy stated that it is “time for a new generation of leadership” In his endorsement of the popular Florida governor.
Republicans have increasingly buckled with the burgeoning dispute between DeSantis and President Donald Trump.
Both of them fall in the populist group, which advocates for American families, industry, and middle class protection and resists left-wing ideology on controversial topics like race and sex.
Trump attacked DeSantis in past comments, referring to him as “DeSantis” “Ron DeSanctimonious” Oder “Ron DeSanctis.”
Trump made a joke about his rival for the nomination and said: “Florida was doing great long before Ron DeSanctis came along.”
DeSantis is now the House Republican’s endorser in a chamber where Republicans are heavily in Trump’s favor.
“The next President of the United States must be a vibrant and energetic leader with the faith, vision, and courage to chart a new course,” Roy made the announcement in an email. “America needs a leader who will truly defend her and empower the people against the destructive force of unrestrained government and corporate excess, profligate spending, and woke cultural indoctrination.”
Roy stated that DeSantis is the leader.
Texas Republican DeSantis continues, “a man of conviction” Who “loves America unapologetically but loves freedom and the rule of law even more, with the courage to fight for both.”
Roy cited DeSantis’ track record as Florida governor, which Roy stated has been excellent. “stronger and freer” Under the leadership of DeSantis.

Roy stated that he would support any nominee who is more popular than Biden. However, he stressed the importance of supporting Roy. “a new generation of leadership.”
“It’s time for younger, but proven, leadership to offer America eight solid years of transformational change,” Roy concluded. “It’s time for Ron DeSantis to be President of the United States.”
