Reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley Of “Chrisley Knows Best” They were taken to prison to begin each sentence after they were convicted in June for fraud and tax evasion.

Todd, 54 years old, is a reality TV star who reported to Federal Prison Camp Pensacola on Tuesday to serve his 12-year sentence. People magazine reported. The outlet reported that Julie, his wife and reality star of 50 years, went to the Federal Correctional Institution (Federal Prison Camp Marianna) the same day to start her seven-year sentence.

The representatives of both stars did not respond to our request. The pair were convicted of conspiracy to commit fraud in bank, tax, and bank accounts, respectively, last year. The Daily Wire As previously reported. Julie was also convicted for wire fraud and obstruction.

According to the outlet, the couple were sentenced in November to a total 19-year term. The pair was convicted by a jury of fraud and tax evasion. Following their individual releases, the outlet noted that both were sentenced to 16 months probation.

The couple previously issued a statement to People on how they were going about appealing their convictions.

Chrisley’s attorney, Alex Little of Burr & Forman LLP, said in a statement, in part, “Their trial was marred by serious and repeated errors, including the government lying to jurors about what taxes the couple paid. Based on these issues, we are optimistic about the road ahead.”

Musa Ghanayem, the attorney for Lindsie Chrisley, the couple’s daughter, told the magazine about what the legal steps were for Todd and Julie’s appeal process.

“The legal process would be if a new trial was ordered, they’d have to go through the whole process again,” The attorney spoke at the time. “If there was an issue that was incorrect, it can be sent back down to be correct[ed]. Typically, the appellate panel will make a decision, make a ruling, and sometimes send it back down to enforce that ruling.”
