Read Massie’s eight impeachment charges against Pete Hegseth

Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) has introduced articles of impeachment against Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, accusing him of abusing his authority. Teh charges relate to various military and foreign policy issues, including actions in Iran, the Trump management’s arrest of a Venezuelan dictator, strikes on alleged drug boats, and the conflict in Yemen. Massie also claimed Hegseth ignored legal requirements to reduce civilian casualties and suppressed free speech.


Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) filed articles of impeachment against War Secretary Pete Hegseth on Tuesday, accusing him of abusing the power of his office.

The Kentucky Republican filed these articles over the war in Iran, the Trump administration’s arrest of former Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, strikes on alleged drug boats, and the war in Yemen. Massie also accused the war secretary of ignoring laws to minimize civilian casualties and suppressing free speech.
