“Enough is enough! Lindsey Graham unleashes fury on CNN host for Democrats’ extreme abortion stance. It’s time to stop making excuses for these guys.”

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) didn’t hold back when he appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” to discuss the Democrats’ stance on abortion. When asked whether he believed abortion was a state or federal issue, Graham made it clear that he supported a federal abortion ban and accused Democrats of opposing any restriction. He argued that abortion is a human rights issue and that dismembering a child at 15 weeks is barbaric and out of line with the rest of the civilized world.

But when CNN’s Dana Bash tried to interject with a point about Roe v. Wade, Graham accused her of carrying water for the Democrats and covering for their extreme position on abortion. He called their proposals “barbaric” and welcomed a debate on the issue.

It’s worth noting that Democrats in the House of Representatives passed the “Women’s Health Protection Act” in September 2021, which would have allowed abortions at any time and for any reason before fetal viability. The bill failed to overcome a Senate filibuster.

In the meantime, the Supreme Court recently blocked a ruling from a federal judge in Texas that placed restrictions on the FDA’s approval of the abortifacient drug mifepristone, which is used in about half of all U.S. abortions. The Court ruled to allow the approval of the drug while a lawsuit is heard by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
