Prominent figures Michael Moore and Gavin Newsom Promote Walgreens Boycott

Michael Moore, a filmmaker and activist has demanded a boycott of Walgreens after the chain decided not to sell abortion pills within 20 states.
Moore encouraged readers to avoid Walgreens. He characterized Walgreens as a pharmacy chain. “stands with anti-abortion extremists against the rights of women.”
Moore said that silence is a virtue. “enabling this bigotry and misogyny.”
He published also the postal address of Walgreens Consumer Relations and a number for local Walgreens representatives. Then he encouraged residents to organize pickets at local Walgreens branches.
“Boycott. March. Picket. Civilly disobey. Write Postcards. Make Calls. Donate. BE RELENTLESS!,” Moore stated.
California Governor Gavin Newsom, a Democratic California governor, also commented on Walgreens’ recent actions.
Walgreens, however is in the process of being FDA-certified. This means that the company currently does not dispense the pills in any other country.
