Prince Harry and Meghan ridiculed as ‘grifters’ by Spotify executive.

Bill Simmons Slams Prince Harry and Meghan as ‘Grifters’

Bill Simmons, the Bostonian blogger-turned-podcasting mogul, didn’t hold back his thoughts on Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, following their split from streaming service Spotify.

On Thursday, news broke that Harry and Meghan’s highly anticipated million deal with Spotify had fallen through. While the corporate response was expectedly diplomatic, Simmons took a different approach on his popular podcast.

As Awful Announcing reported back in May 2022, Simmons was promoted to Spotify’s head of global sports content, giving his remarks significant weight. In the latest episode of “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” Simmons didn’t mince words when discussing Harry and Meghan.

“I wish I had been involved in the Meghan and Harry-leaves-Spotify negotiations,” Simmons said. “The f***ing grifters. That’s the podcast we should’ve launched with them.”

Simmons also hinted at a disastrous Zoom call with Prince Harry, where he attempted to assist the royal with his podcast. This isn’t the first time Simmons has taken shots at Harry and Meghan, particularly targeting Harry.

While reactions to Simmons’ remarks were divided, it’s clear that he has strong opinions about the couple. Love them or hate them, Harry and Meghan continue to be a topic of discussion.

Are Harry and Meghan grifters?

After expressing his disdain for Harry, Simmons made it clear that he can’t stand him and is embarrassed to share Spotify with him. The reaction to Simmons’ comments has been mixed, with some agreeing and others defending Harry and Meghan.

Love them or hate them, the controversy surrounding Harry and Meghan shows no signs of slowing down.
