Poll: Even 70% Of Independents Think Trump Indictment Is Politically Motivated

A recent Quinnipiac University poll revealed that a large percentage of Republicans and independent Americans believe that former President Donald Trump’s potential indictment by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is politically motivated. The poll also found that a significant number of Democrats believe that the legal case is necessary for upholding the rule of law.

The data shows that 62% of all Americans surveyed believe that the case against Donald Trump is politically motivated, with 32% believing that it is motivated by the law. Republicans had the highest percentage of those who believe the case against Trump is politically motivated, with 93% responding in the affirmative, while 70% of independents also agreed. In contrast, 66% of Democrats in the poll believed that the legal case against Trump is motivated by law.

Interestingly, the poll also indicated that a majority of both Democrats and independents believe that Trump should be disqualified from seeking higher office if he is charged. Some have speculated that a Trump indictment could unify Republican primary voters in support of the former president as a political prisoner. However, there have been no polls to date that conclusively prove this theory.

Popular pundits like Glenn Beck have expressed increasing support for Trump since the announcement of the indictment by the Manhattan District Attorney. Although Beck did not state that Donald Trump would win the 2024 election, he claimed that he could potentially secure a significant number of votes from Americans distrustful of the current government administration.
