Police search for pink costumed suspect in Virginia
Fredericksburg, Virginia police are searching for a suspect seen wearing a pink costume who allegedly targeted children in the Lafayette Boulevard area on May 14 around 4:30 p.m. Police were alerted to the suspicious activity and later obtained a picture of the suspect, while patrols in the area have been increased.
An anonymous mother told Fox5 that her two children noticed the person near their bus stop. After the bus left, the suspect allegedly chased the children, and one girl was nearly grabbed before her sister pulled her away. The mother said the incident has left her children traumatized and urged police to locate the person.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact police.
