President Donald Trump delivered a eulogy at the funeral of former South Carolina Republican senator Lindsey Graham, who recently passed away unexpectedly. The funeral service, held at the Washington National Cathedral, was attended by prominent figures including Vice President JD Vance, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and other dignitaries, as well as family members. Vice President Vance called Graham a “true American original,” while Trump praised Graham’s full-hearted life and vigor. Scenes from the funeral included speeches, and a procession carrying Graham’s casket, highlighting the significant turnout of political leaders and supporters paying tribute to his legacy.
President Donald Trump spoke to a room of world leaders, administration officials, members of Congress, and family members gathered on Tuesday to celebrate the life of former South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, who died unexpectedly earlier this month.
Earlier Tuesday, Vice President JD Vance spoke at the Capitol Hill memorial. He called Graham a “true American original.” After, a hearse carried Graham’s body to the National Cathedral, where mourners gathered for the funeral.
“He was a man who gave America the full measure of his good and mighty heart until that heart itself just gave out,” Trump said at the funeral. “But even though Lindsey’s life was cut short while he was still so full of vim and vigor, there can be no doubt that he lived absolutely to the fullest.”
