Peter Thiel estimates a 50% chance of socialist president in 2028
Peter Thiel, cofounder of Palantir, predicts there is a 50-50 chance that a socialist candidate could win the U.S. presidency in 2028, competing against either Vice President JD Vance or Secretary of State Marco rubio. When asked which of these candidates might improve the Republican Party’s chances of winning the White House, Thiel expressed a preference for Vance but expressed concern that neither candidate might be able to secure a victory.

Asked which administration official would be a better candidate to increase the Republican Party’s chances of winning the White House in two years, Thiel said on the MD MEETS — Essential Talks with Mathias Dopfner podcast: “I’m still a Vance partisan. I worry that it will be very hard for either candidate to win.”
