Popular comedian Pete Davidson has been sentenced to 50 hours of community service after being charged with reckless driving.
The 29-year-old star has agreed to enter an 18-month diversion program, as reported by TMZ. This program allows him to avoid entering a plea or contesting the offense.
As part of his sentence, Davidson must attend 12 hours of traffic school, receive education on the potential consequences of reckless driving at a hospital or morgue, and complete 50 hours of community service.

The comedian will have the opportunity to fulfill his community service hours with the New York City Fire Department, according to Entertainment Tonight. This holds special significance for Davidson, as his late father was a member of the NYFD and tragically lost his life in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack.
Davidson faced a misdemeanor reckless driving charge after crashing his car into a home in Beverly Hills. However, if he complies with the specified conditions, there will be no criminal offense on his record, as reported by Page Six.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office stated, “We believe that Mr. Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home. Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision. We know that reckless driving can have devastating consequences.”

Reports indicate that at the time of the crash, Davidson was driving at a high rate of speed and lost control of his vehicle, which jumped a curb and crashed into the front lawn of the residence before hitting the house. Davidson’s girlfriend, Chase Sui Wonders, was also in the car.
Following the incident, the couple issued an apology to the homeowners, who chose not to file a lawsuit against them.
Authorities confirmed that Davidson was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the crash, as reported by TMZ.
