Pelosi’s “Goodbye Letter” is just as delusional and misleading as you would expect
It’s a bit surrealistic, isn’t it? Nancy Pelosi The Speaker of Congress is no more. After giving up her coveted hand and stepping down as Speaker of the House, the TDS-ridden Speaker will be just another member in Congress for at most one more term.
Uh-huh, we’ll see how That Plays out.
Also gone will be Madam Speaker’s Thursday morning press conferences where the dazed and confused Pelosi waved her bony hands in disgust, and condescendingly dismissed questions from reporters she deemed beneath her or undeserving of answers. And gone will be Pelosi’s venomous denunciations of her archnemesis, the Devil himself, Donald Trump. This is not to say Trump will no longer live rent-free in Pelosi’s echoing head, 24/7, mind you, but she’ll no longer have a weekly platform from which to spew.
In her final letter as Speaker before the Republican majority is sworn in, Pelosi showered her Democrat colleagues with the kind of delusional praise and hyperbolic nonsense we’ve come to expect from the hyperpartisan Californian.
Dear Democratic Colleague
Today, I am writing to you as my last Dear Colleague Speaker of the House in order to express my gratitude for the great honor bestowed on me by House Democrats. I am humbled by the trust shown in me to be Speaker.
One last thought I wanted to share with all of you: my belief that the House Democratic Caucus consists of the most intelligent, honest, and imaginatively assembled group for the good of American citizens.
There are a lot of descriptors I’d use for the likes of Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Hakeem Jeffries, Pramila Jayapal, Maxine Waters, et al., but “intellect, integrity, and imagination” aren’t among them. Pelosi’s melodramatically torn half of her Trump State of the Union speech and two impeachments of Trump motivated by political motives, as well as her silly January 6 Committee trial. “integrity” is the last word I’d used to define the most divisive House Speaker in recent memory.
Pelosi heaped glowing praises on the hopelessly ineffectual Joe Biden, which was even sweeter than her description for her Democrat colleagues.
President Biden and Congressional Democrats presented a vision of justice for everyone during the 117th Congress. This value has been infused into all of our legislative efforts by us working together. All of us can take great pride in our accomplishments towards that goal, which is making an impact on the lives and livelihoods of Americans.
In the 118th Congress, I am confident that the new House Democratic Leadership – led by Hakeem, Katherine, and Pete – will do even better, remaining always faithful to our shared mission to safeguard our treasured Democracy For The People.
Yup, “a shining vision of justice for all.” Really? What about justice for the January 6 defendants? Is there justice for American taxpayers, who continue to be owed billions and even billions of dollars by Biden and his Democrat Party? How about the never-ending wealth-redistribution scams like the $1.7 trillion mockery of an omnibus package? This list could go on.
Oh, and what about justice for the untold amount of American citizens still held captive in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, Ms. Pelosi? “visionary” President slithered out from war-torn country at night?
Pelosi finished her silly fairytale with a mention to Paul.
