Paul Pelosi Violently Attacked at San Francisco Home
Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was injured Friday after an assailant broke into the couple’s home in San Francisco and “violently assaulted” him, according to a statement from the lawmaker’s spokesperson.
Drew Hammill said the assailant was taken into custody after the break in and that a motive was under investigation. Pelosi was not in San Francisco at the time of the incident.
“Mr. Pelosi was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving excellent medical care and is expected to make a full recovery,” Hammill said. “The Speaker and her family are grateful to the first responders and medical professionals involved, and request privacy at this time.”
