A man and a child were shot at a Potomac High School football game on Saturday in Oxon Hill, Maryland, Prince George’s County Police said to the Washington Examiner. The suspect fled after the shooting, and police are currently searching for them.
Police found the victims suffering from gunshot wounds when officers responded at around 11:20 a.m. The man was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead, while the child was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives are still working to identify “suspect(s) and motive in this case.” The event was an under 7-year-old football game, and a team was “in the middle of running a play” when shots were fired, according to WUSA9.
