Odell Beckham Jr. Accused Of Assaulting Woman At L.A. Hotspot, He Denies It: Report

NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. was named as a suspect in an assault investigation after a woman claimed he put his hand around her neck in a Los Angeles venue, according to a report from TMZ.

Beckham Jr. denied the allegations.

The woman claimed that Beckham Jr. grabbed her throat with light pressure when she was inside Delilah, an upscale dinner spot in West Hollywood. This alleged incident is said to have occurred several weeks ago, but the unnamed woman is filing the report now.

Restaurant owner John Terzian told the outlet that he was not convinced the incident really happened. “We were contacted about an investigation and reviewed the videos, the claim is false,” he told TMZ. “There is no evidence of this person even being in the area where she claims the incident occurred.”

A rep for the Ravens wide receiver told TMZ that they weren’t aware of any investigation and hadn’t been contacted by police while denying Beckham Jr.’s involvement.

The publication noted that these accusations came to light not long after he signed a one-year deal that was valued at more than $18 million. The pro football player is expected to return to the field this year after sitting out for the 2022-2023 season with a torn ACL. 

The athlete made headlines last November after reportedly being ejected from an American Airlines flight from Miami to Los Angeles, as The Daily Wire previously reported.

Beckham Jr.’s attorney released a statement shortly after, saying his client had been sleeping and pulled a blanket up over his face “which is his normal practice for long flights” and only woke up when crew members informed him that they had returned to the gate. They said he would have to exit the plane for failure to put on his seatbelt when asked.

“He responded that he was asleep, and that he would put his seatbelt on at that time. He was informed that it was too late, and that either he would have to get off the plane or everyone would have to deplane,” the statement continued, noting how everyone was forced to exit the flight. 

“Sleeping on a plane should not be a cause for removal from a flight,” the statement concluded.

The airline stated that they became concerned when Beckham Jr. seemed to be in and out of consciousness, and that other passengers were forced to deplane when he refused to get off the flight.

Beckham Jr. tweeted about the incident after it happened, writing, “Never in my life have I experienced what just happened to me… I’ve seen it all.”
