EXCLUSIVE — The National Republican Congressional Committee raised $7.9 million in July, bringing the committee’s on-hand total to $92.3 million, according to figures first shared with the Washington Examiner.
The monthly total also brings the NRCC to $90.6 million raised for the year, the most ever at the July year-to-date mark, according to the committee. It has raised more than $200 million for the cycle, with 75 days before Election Day, and has $10 million more in the bank than its Democratic counterpart.

“House Republicans are building a war chest. Democrats are building a socialist bailout fund,” committee spokesman Mike Marinella told the Washington Examiner in a statement.
House Republicans are protecting a three-seat majority this November and are contending with the fact that the party that controls the White House typically loses seats during midterm elections. The last time the party in the White House gained seats in the midterms was in 2002, when Republicans gained eight seats. Republicans lost 41 seats during Trump’s first midterm in 2018. Democrats lost nine seats in 2022.
Still, the NRCC argued it was “in the strongest position this committee has ever been” in a strategy memo published last month.
That memo pointed to the NRCC’s fundraising advantage and a favorable battlefield, made even more favorable by several states redrawing their congressional maps over the last two years. Democrats have to win in areas where President Donald Trump averaged 53% in order to win the House, according to an NRCC analysis. That number was 47% in 2018.
The GOP is also expected to draw a contrast with the handful of socialist candidates Democrats have nominated in deep-blue areas across the country. Speaker Mike Johnson has called the agenda the “Contrast for America” and dubbed the election a referendum on “common sense versus crazy.”
Republicans have held a steady fundraising advantage over their Democratic counterparts throughout the election cycle.
The committee is also boasting its incumbents’ fundraising prowess. Battleground Republicans finished the second quarter with an average of $3.8 million on hand, compared to swing-district Democratic incumbents, who finished Q2 with an average of $2.7 million in the bank.
