Nikki Haley says US should change retirement age for those in their 20s

“What you would do is, for those in their 20s coming into the system, we would change the retirement age so that it matches life expectancy,” Fox News interviewed Haley.

Haley didn’t specify the new age for younger residents of the United States, but only said it would be “the new ones coming in.”

“It’s those in their 20s that are coming in,” She said. “You’re coming to them, and you’re saying the game has changed. We’re going to do this completely differently.”

The earliest age an individual can retire in order to begin receiving Social Security monthly payments in the U.S.A is 62. These payments are dependent on the time a person chooses to retire. Those who decide to retire later will receive higher payments. According to The Social Security Administration.
