‘Trevor Bauer shares texts from accuser after settlement: Dodgers’ star pitcher targeted next.’

Former Dodgers Pitcher Trevor Bauer Reveals Accuser’s Damning Text Messages

After reaching a settlement in‌ his legal dispute, former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer on ⁣Monday revealed the ⁣text messages ⁤his accuser sent ‍to her ‌friends.

Bauer ⁢was placed on administrative leave by ‍his team before any⁤ investigation was conducted‌ after Lindsey Hill accused him of beating and sexually assaulting her ⁣twice in 2021. He never faced charges relating to the allegations, and a restraining order filed by Hill was‌ denied. Bauer always maintained that the rough sex between him and Hill was consensual.

Once the settlement was announced, Bauer released a video revealing‍ some of the text messages ⁣Hill sent ⁣to her friends prior to meeting Bauer and after their encounter that suggests she was always focused on getting money ‍from him.

“’Next ⁤victim. Star pitcher for the Dodgers,’” Bauer begins in the ‍video with a picture of Hill’s text. “A text Lindsey Hill ⁤sent to a friend before she ever even met me. ‘What should I steal?’ she asked another, in reference to ⁢visiting my house for the first time. The answer?⁣ ‘Take his money.’ So how might that work? ‘I’m going to his house Wednesday.’ she said, ‘I already have my hooks in. You know how I ‌roll.’ Then, after the first⁤ time we met, “Net worth is 51 mil” she said. ‘b—h, you better secure ⁤the bag’, was the response.”

“But how was she going to do that?” Bauer continued. “‘Need daddy to ‍choke⁢ me out,’ she said. ‘being an ⁢absolute whore to ⁤try to get in on his 51 million,’ read another text. Then, after ‌the second time we met, former [San Diego] Padres pitcher Jacob ⁤Nix told⁤ her ‌‘you gotta get this bag.’ ‘I’ll give you⁢ 50,000’ Lindsey replied.⁣ Her AA sponsor asked ‍her at one point, ‘do you feel a tiny bit guilty?’ ‘Not really,’ she ⁣replied.”

Bauer said these messages⁣ were “deliberately and unlawfully concealed from me and my legal‍ team” until he filed his lawsuit ⁢against Hill and the ⁣case entered discovery.

He ⁣also played a video taken just minutes before Hill left Bauer’s house in the morning after the alleged assault, showing her in‍ bed next to him smirking at the camera with no evidence of injury or distress.

He said Hill’s legal team had approached him for money, but after this evidence was turned⁤ over, they ⁤approached with a settlement offer that ⁤included no money. He agreed to a settlement that ⁣allowed him to publicly ⁣discuss ‍the case since he could not do so for⁤ legal reasons prior.

“Now over the last two years, ⁣I’ve been forced to defend my integrity ‌and my reputation in a very public setting, but hopefully this is the last time I have to do so, as I’d prefer to just remain focused on doing my job, winning baseball games and entertaining fans around the world. So today I’m ‌happy to be moving on with my life,” Bauer concluded his video.

After the settlement, Bauer’s attorneys released a statement.

“Trevor Bauer ‍and Lindsey Hill have‍ settled all outstanding litigation,” Bauer’s attorneys, Jon ⁤Fetterolf and Shawn ‌Holley, said in a statement on Monday, according to Fox News. “Both of their respective claims have been withdrawn with prejudice, effective today. Mr. Bauer did not make — and never has made — any payments to Ms. Hill, including to resolve their litigation. “

“With this matter now at rest,⁢ Mr. Bauer ⁣can focus ⁤completely on baseball,” the attorneys added.

Bauer was suspended for 324 games due‍ solely to the allegations, but ‍that ban was reduced to 194 games‍ by an independent arbitrator in December, Fox reported. No ‌team picked him up,‌ so he began playing in Japan for the Yokohama DeNa ⁣Baystars, where he was 10-4 with a⁢ 2.76 ⁢ERA and ⁣130 strikeouts in 19 games.

In March ‍2022, Bauer sued The Athletic for defamation after ⁣it reported that Hill sustained a fractured skull due to Bauer’s alleged⁢ attack. ‍Bauer in his⁤ lawsuit said the Athletic⁣ had access to ⁤Hill’s medical records, which ⁤showed no‌ skull fracture, yet published the ⁤information anyway.

“While this is not the time or the place to address every single lie or falsehood that this woman or her lawyers made to the court, I do want to⁤ be crystal clear about a few things,” Bauer said in a February 2022 video in which he ‍defended ‌himself. “I never punched this woman in the face. I⁤ never punched her in the ⁢vagina. I never scratched‌ her face. I never had anal sex with her or sodomized her‍ in any way. I never assaulted her in any way at any time. While we did have consensual ⁣rough sex, the disturbing acts and conduct that she described simply ‌did not occur.”

Bauer eventually dropped‌ his lawsuit against the ‌Athletic.

He⁤ later sued Hill for defamation, but ⁤she countersued. The two⁤ settled and exchanged no money, though Hill will receive ‌$300,000 from her insurance company, which is independent of her ⁤settlement with Bauer.

What does⁢ the inclusion of the video clip showing Hill smirking in bed next to ‍Bauer without signs‍ of injury or distress imply about the case?

⁣Ve legal teams have⁢ worked diligently to resolve this matter. Mr. ⁢Bauer appreciates the support ⁣he has received from his family, friends, and fans throughout this challenging process.⁢ He is grateful that he can now put this behind him and focus on his career as a professional baseball player.”

This ⁢recent development sheds new light on the allegations made⁤ against Trevor Bauer.⁢ The text messages revealed by Bauer suggest that his accuser, Lindsey Hill,⁣ had ulterior motives and ⁤was focused on obtaining financial ⁣gain from their encounter. The messages depict a calculated plan to take advantage of Bauer’s wealth and status.

Bauer’s decision to release these messages highlights his desire to defend his integrity and reputation. Throughout the legal process, he‌ has maintained that the ⁤encounters between him and Hill were consensual. The revelation of these text messages provides additional‌ context to support his claims.

Furthermore, Bauer’s video includes a clip taken ‌shortly after the alleged assault, showing Hill smirking in bed next ⁣to ‌him without any signs of injury or distress. This footage raises questions about the ⁢credibility of Hill’s accusations and adds to the complexity of the case.

It is important to note that the settlement reached between Bauer and Hill does not involve any monetary compensation. This detail is significant because it suggests that Hill’s legal team recognized the weakness of their case‍ and decided not to pursue financial damages.

While this settlement allows Bauer to publicly discuss the‍ case and move forward with his life, it does not fully exonerate him.‍ The allegations made against him have already ‌had a significant impact on his reputation and career. However, he is hopeful‍ that⁣ with this resolution, he can focus on his professional endeavors⁤ and ‍regain the trust⁢ of his fans.

The Trevor Bauer ‍case serves as a reminder of the ⁣complexities⁢ and challenges surrounding high-profile legal disputes. It highlights the importance of thoroughly investigating allegations and considering all available evidence before passing judgment. As more information becomes available, it is ⁢crucial to approach the situation with an open mind and respect for due process.

In conclusion, former Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer’s decision to reveal the text messages sent by his accuser sheds new light on the allegations ⁤against him. The messages suggest that his accuser had financial ⁢motives and raises questions about the credibility of her claims. With the settlement reached, Bauer can now focus⁤ on moving forward and rebuilding his reputation. This case underscores the need for a fair ⁢and thorough investigation in such matters, highlighting the complexities and challenges involved in high-profile legal disputes.
