“The TVUSD desires to uplift and unite students by not imposing the responsibility of historical transgressions in the past and instead will engage students of all cultures in age-appropriate critical thinking that helps students navigate the past, present, and future,” It was declared that CRT should be banned.

The policy’s specific requirements would have been apparent in the “pre-woke” However, the era has changed and now needs to be explained.

This resolution declares that CRT was based on an “artificial distortion of the traditional definition of ‘racism.’” It points out CRT is racist by itself and targets white students based upon their skin color rather than their character. The school denies that a small group of still-childhood students should be subject to shame or take responsibility for past actions that occurred long before their birth.

The resolution specifically prohibits the teaching “differential racialization,” The notion that society racializes minorities according the labor market. The teaching of the “voice-of-color” thesis, which is the assertion of minority groups being more able to discuss race and racism.

This is a refreshing approach to education that is desperately needed. CRT doesn’t eliminate racism. CRT simply reverses the system and oppresses a different group, namely white students. America has made incredible strides towards eliminating racism since 1960s and 50s. And actual racism should still be called out when it’s observed in any institution. Rejecting the new form of reverse racism is not better than any other form oppression.
