NBC News’s Steve Kornacki makes a splash as he spills water on air

He expressed concern about damaging the equipment and attempted to clean up the spill with tissues. His visibly flustered reaction included holding his notes, rubbing his forehead, and gesturing for help from the crew. “Oh … I just spilled water … at the computer. I don’t want this thing to break. Oh boy, the monitor went off,” Kornacki said.

Kornacki, who was visibly flustered, held his notes in his hand while he rubbed his forehead, and made gestures to the production crew to help.
Part of the clip appeared at the beginning of NBC’s NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas.
“Sorry, I just don’t want … We have to tend to this computer here so it doesn’t…”
“Catch on fire?” NBC News senior producer Adam Noboa said, finishing Kornacki’s sentence.
Noboa did not help Kornacki, and sat grinning while Kornacki attempted to clean up the spilled water.
Kornacki discovered a carton of tissues at the desk, and began mopping up the liquid.
“Oh my map, no,” Kornacki said, expressing his frustration.
A member of the production crew then stepped in with a bunch of napkins and began wiping the wet monitor.
Kornacki then apologized to the crew, gathered his notes, and concluded by saying, “Well, that was fun.”

Noboa laughed as Kornacki looked back at the desk again and said, “Oh, jeez,” before collecting himself again and moving back to tracking primary election results.
The ordeal took up about a minute of airtime.
