National Archives Admits Biden Had Over 1,100 Pages of Records at Penn Office
The National Archives has confirmed that around 1,170 pages of records from when President Joe Biden was vice president were discovered at the Penn Biden Center in November 2022. However, the Archives has stated that it does not have custody of any records found at Biden’s homes in Delaware.
On Thursday, the America First Legal Foundation drew attention to this news by releasing a letter sent by the National Archives in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. The archives told the legal group that it was unable to grant access to the pages found at the President’s former office, citing an ongoing law enforcement investigation.
This reasoning was also given as the grounds for denying the America First Legal Foundation access to nine boxes of records found at Biden’s attorney’s office in Boston. It remains unknown which documents were contained in these boxes, but the Associated Press recently reported that no classified documents were believed to be included.
The America First Legal Foundation also requested that all records from Biden’s family home or vacation home in Delaware be made available. In response, the National Archives stated that it had no access to records taken from these locations.
It is currently unknown where records discovered at Biden’s homes are being held or who has custody of them. Interestingly, classified records have been found in the President’s possession at least five times since November.
