Nancy Pelosi Appears To Elbow Mayra Flores’ Daughter During Swearing-In Ceremony

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared to elbow the daughter of newly-elected Congresswoman Mayra Flores (R-TX) during her swearing-in ceremony last Tuesday.

Video shared on Twitter showed the California Democrat waving her arms a bit as she spoke — and when she realized how close Flores’ daughter was to her, she lowered her elbow and pushed the young girl aside.

As soon as Pelosi dropped her arm back to her side, Flores’ daughter stepped back into the shot she had been prior to being pushed aside.

“Clearly, Nancy Pelosi is a horrible person … but what really made me smile about this is the young lady is being raised right. She moved right back over and blew off the nasty elbow,” radio host Joe “Pags” Pagliarulo tweeted.

“Has the Left excused Nancy Pelosi’s elbow to Mayra Flores’ daughter yet, or are they ignoring it; same as they’ve done with everything since Biden was elected? Couldn’t have been my daughter. I would have broken all kinds of decorum. ‘ELBOW MY KID AGAIN AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS!’” Zeek Arkham added.

The New York Post’s Miranda Devine responded, “Wow. Shows you who Pelosi really is. ‘For the children.’”

Flores was sworn in on Tuesday, June 21st, after her historic win in Texas’ 34th Congressional District. Her newly-acquired seat, which has traditionally been considered a safe district for Democrats, was vacated when former Congressman Filemon Vela (D-TX) resigned last March to take a job with Akin Gump — a lobbying and law firm.

Flores will serve the remainder of Vela’s term — and will have to remain on campaign footing, because she will have to defend the seat again in November’s midterm election.

Her victory in the June 15th special election made Flores the first Mexican-born Congresswoman to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives. She came to the United States at the age of six — and is married to a Border Patrol agent.
