Muslim family in Tennessee accused of assaulting son after he converts to Christianity: Authorities
Muslim Family Arrested for Allegedly Beating Relative for Converting to Christianity
A Muslim family in Tennessee has been arrested this week after allegedly assaulting a family member who recently converted to Christianity. The incident came to light when the Metro Nashville Police Department responded to a welfare check and discovered a juvenile family member with visible injuries on his face, including cuts and bruises.
The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, bravely revealed to law enforcement that he was attacked because of his newfound Christian faith. The arrest warrant confirmed that all the family members involved in the assault were Muslim.
According to the report, the victim recounted how his mother, brother, and father repeatedly punched him and even spat in his face. Shockingly, his mother took a knife and scratched the back of his right hand with it. The brutal attack only ceased when the police arrived at the scene, prompted by a concerned tip from the victim’s employer.
It is reported that the family demanded the victim renounce his Christian beliefs and return to Islam.
The father, Nick Kadum, and the brother, John Kadum, have been charged with domestic assault and bodily injury, while the mother, Rawaa Khawaji, faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
