A tenured history professor at Madera Community College near Fresno, David Richardson, is under investigation by the school after sharing Jeremy’s Chocolate bars at a campus event last month. The candy bars, sold by The Daily Wire, feature wrappers with “He/Him” for chocolate with nuts and “She/Her” for nutless chocolate, referencing the two genders. A trans-identifying staff member complained about the bars, claiming they reinforce the scientifically accepted principle that gender is binary.

Despite the controversy, Richardson claims the treats were wildly popular with students. “Word evidently spread and they became the most popular item on the table,” he told The Daily Wire.

Longtime Professor Banned from Campus

Richardson has been fighting against gender ideology on campus for several years and was previously punished for “mocking” gender pronouns. He was found guilty by the school and ordered to complete six hours of DEI training.

Now, Richardson has been placed on paid administrative leave and banned from non-public areas in the district. “My students are left without an instructor two weeks before the end of the semester and I am no longer allowed on campus without the express permission of the college president because Jeremy’s Chocolate creates a hostile work environment,” he said.

Richardson is calling for an apology from the district and hopes to return to his life’s work educating students.
