Jeremiah Green, Modest Mouse Drummer and Co-founder, Dies at 45

Modest Mouse announced Green’s stage four cancer diagnosis just a few days earlier: “Jeremiah was diagnosed with cancer a short while ago, and he’s currently in treatment. It seems to be going smoothly and making a positive difference. Jeremiah, as am I, are believers in the power of positive energy, so if you would be so kind as to send ‘good vibes’ (to quote Jeremiah) in the direction of Jeremiah and his family, that’d be great.”

Green, Isaac Brock, lead guitarist and singer, founded Modest Mouse in Washington in 1992. Eric Judy left the group in 2012. In 2003, the drummer left Modest Mouse for a short time. However, he returned to the group and has been recording and touring ever since. Apart from Modest Mouse, he has previously performed with the bands Vells and Satisfact, Red Stars Theory, and Peeved.
