Mitch McConnell released from rehab after concussion, will work from home

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was released from an inpatient rehab facility on Saturday after being treated for a concussion, and the Kentucky Republican will return home to work remotely “for the next few days.”

In a statement, McConnell said,” I want to sincerely thank everyone for all the variety wishes.” ” I’m going to take the advice of my physical therapist and work from home for Kentuckians and the Republican Conference for the next few day.” My Senate associates and professionals are in constant contact with me. I’m eager to visit the Senate again suddenly in woman.

The medical email follows the Democratic leader’s hospitalization two days after he fell at the Waldorf Astoria resort on March 8 while attending a personal dinner. After being discharged from the hospital, McConnell was five days later admitted to an intensive rehab facility for additional care.

Many Republican lawmakers claimed to have spoken with McConnell over the telephone, via email, and in person throughout the retrieval process. Although it’s not entirely certain when the Democratic leader may return to the Senate, it is unlikely to happen before the body departs for its two-week break in early April.

McConnell was the next senator to be absent from the lower chamber as a result of health-related issues, as both Sens. Additionally hospitalized in recent weeks due to health issues are John Fetterman( D – PA ) and Dianne Feinstein, both of whom have been. It is still unknown when Feinstein and Fetterman may arrive back.

After falling on his backyard at home and breaking his shoulder, McConnell was taken to the hospital in 2019.
