Rescue crew detected ‘banging’ sounds near missing Titanic sub.

A Desperate Search for the Missing Titanic Submersible

A rescue crew is tirelessly searching for the missing Titanic submersible, facing the daunting challenge of finding it before time runs out for those trapped inside. The situation is becoming increasingly dire as the crew continues to hear banging sounds in the area where the craft disappeared.

A rescue operation by a Canadian aircraft with underwater detection capabilities detected “banging” in 30-minute intervals coming from the area the divers disappeared, emails sent to Department of Homeland Security leadership revealed. Additional sonar was deployed, and banging was still heard four hours later, Rolling Stone reported.

Despite these reports, several agencies have not yet confirmed the existence of the banging or tapping sounds. However, if verified, it would provide hope that the five members of the craft, known as the Titan, are still alive.

A Race Against Time

Unfortunately, G. Michael Harris, a Titanic expedition leader, believes that the vessel has imploded at a depth of 3,200 meters, leaving little hope for the survival of those inside. The situation is made even more tragic by the fact that OceanGate, the maker of the submersible, has faced criticism for its questionable safety features, including the use of an outdated video game controller to operate the craft.

In court documents, a former employee named David Lochridge claimed that he was fired after raising concerns about the safety of the Titan. He insisted that more testing of the vessel’s hull was necessary to ensure the well-being of its passengers.

As the difficult rescue efforts continue, the Coast Guard has announced that the Titan has approximately 40 hours of oxygen left. With each passing hour, that number dwindles, adding to the urgency of the situation.

The Location and Crew

The remains of the Titanic lie in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 370 miles south of Newfoundland, Canada, and rest at a depth of 2.4 miles beneath the surface. The submersible embarked on its expedition on Sunday morning but lost contact with a Canadian research vessel just over an hour and 45 minutes into the dive.

The five individuals on board the craft are Hamish Harding (the chairman of Action Aviation), Shahzada Dawood (the vice chairman of Engro Corporation Limited) and his son Suleman Dawood, Paul-Henri Nargeolet (a diver and Titanic researcher, as well as the director of Underwater Research at RMS Titanic Inc.), and OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush.

Time is running out, and the fate of those trapped inside the Titanic submersible hangs in the balance. The world watches anxiously, hoping for a miracle in this race against time.
